Welcome to Jurassic World

Had a chance to see Jurassic World on opening night. Wanna hear about it? Great! Read on…

It was fantastic! I loved it. Really!

Back in November, the trailer came out, giving us our first glimpse of this new world. It was pretty exciting, but difficult to tell how it might turn out. The original Jurassic Park was excellent while the other two were a bit weaker. (Read my review of the previous films here: Jurassicness.)

It lives up to the hype. While they claim that it’s a reboot, it’s very much a sequel. It is set years after the disasters of the previous films, where they have taken the concept of the dinosaur park and made it a reality. Thousands of guests visit the park for a spectacular prehistoric show. They spared no expense. When a newly created dinosaur escapes and wreaks havoc this time, the island is completely full of visitors. A nice addition to make the stakes higher! This movie really combines some of the best elements from the previous three films to bring  an excellent popcorn-munching flick!

It does have a few minor issues. I wasn’t a fan of the raptors having a trainer. Seemed a little far fetched. But hey, it was still awesome! Go see it!

Have  you already seen it? Where does it rank for you? Here’s mine:

  1. Jurassic Park
  2. Jurassic World
  3. Jurassic Park III
  4. The Lost World: Jurassic Park

  1. I saw it recently and loved it! And I didn’t mind the raptor training bit. What I did kinda not like was that one lady who died. The assistant. Her death was really drawn out and unexpected. For me at least 🙂
